Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 24, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how TheHearthPost.com ("we", "us", "our"), operator of The Hearth Post at thehearthpost.com (the "Site"), collects, uses and shares information.
1. Information we collect
- Information you give us: if you use our contact form or email us, we receive your name, email address and message.
- Automatically collected information: IP address, approximate location, browser and device type, operating system, pages viewed, time spent, referring URL, and campaign parameters in the link you arrived from (for example UTM tags and ad or click identifiers).
- Interactive tools: quizzes on the Site run in your browser. Your answers are not sent to or stored by us.
2. Cookies, pixels and tracking technologies
We and our partners use cookies, pixels, tags, server-side events and similar technologies to operate the Site, measure traffic and advertising performance, and show relevant ads. These may include:
- Advertising platforms, such as the Meta (Facebook/Instagram) Pixel and Conversions API, which record page views and actions on the Site to measure and optimize ads and build advertising audiences.
- Analytics tools, which help us understand how visitors use the Site.
- Affiliate and campaign tracking, described in the next section.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and manage ad preferences in your Meta and Google account settings or through industry opt-out tools such as optout.aboutads.info. Blocking cookies may affect how the Site works.
3. Affiliate links and offer tracking
The Site contains affiliate and tracking links. When you click an offer, information such as a click ID, timestamp, IP address, device and browser details and the campaign source may be passed to affiliate networks, tracking platforms and the advertiser. This lets them attribute purchases or sign-ups to our Site, calculate commissions and prevent fraud. When a conversion happens, the advertiser or network may send us a confirmation (postback) containing the click ID and transaction details. We do not receive your payment card details. Purchases on advertiser sites are governed by those advertisers' own privacy policies.
4. How we use information
- To operate, maintain and improve the Site
- To respond to your messages
- To measure, attribute and optimize advertising and affiliate campaigns
- To detect and prevent fraud, invalid traffic and abuse
- To comply with legal obligations
5. How we share information
We do not sell your contact details. We share information with: service providers that host the Site, process forms and send email (including workflow automation and email providers); advertising and analytics partners described above; affiliate networks, tracking platforms and advertisers for attribution and fraud prevention; and authorities when required by law. Under some US state laws, sharing data with advertising partners for targeted advertising may be considered a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information.
6. Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live (for example California and other US states, or the EU/UK), you may have the right to access, correct or delete your personal information, to opt out of targeted advertising or the "sale"/"sharing" of personal information, and to withdraw consent. To make a request, use our contact page or email info@thehearthpost.com with the subject "Privacy request". We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights. You can also enable Global Privacy Control in your browser.
7. Data retention
We keep contact messages for as long as needed to respond and for a reasonable period afterward, and tracking and analytics data for as long as needed for the purposes above or as required by law.
8. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures, including encrypted (HTTPS) connections, to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
9. Children
The Site is intended for adults and is not directed at children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
10. International transfers
Information may be processed in countries other than where you live, including Israel and the United States, which may have different data protection laws.
11. Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy. The date above shows when it was last changed.
